How eBay charges you on a card sale

Final value fee (FVF). A percentage of the total order — sale price plus shipping the buyer pays. For Trading Cards, eBay applies one rate up to $7,500 per item and a lower rate on the portion above that. Sales tax collected by eBay is not part of the FVF base.

Per-order fee. A flat fee charged once per order on top of the FVF.

International fee. If the buyer's registered address is outside the US (including via the Global Shipping / eIS programs), eBay adds a small percentage on top of the order total.

Promoted Listings. Optional. If you run a Promoted Listings Standard campaign and the sale is attributed to it, you pay the ad rate you set on the total sale amount.

Top Rated Plus. If you're a Top Rated Seller and the listing meets the Top Rated Plus requirements (typically same-day or 1-business-day handling and a 30-day or longer free returns policy in fixed-price listings), eBay discounts the final value fee by 10%. The discount applies to the FVF only, not the per-order, international, or ad fees.

Store tier. No Store and Starter pay 13.25% up to $7,500 of the order total, then 7% on the portion above. Basic, Premium, Anchor, and Enterprise pay 12.35% up to $2,500, then 2.35% above. Switching the store dropdown auto-fills the FVF and tier-break fields below; you can override either one for promos or special cases.

CollX comparison. CollX charges a flat 10% commission on transactions through its platform and checkout, applied to the item price only — shipping and taxes are excluded — and that rate already includes credit card processing. On top of that, CollX charges a $2.00 fee per withdrawal. The comparison applies the 10% to your sale price (not shipping) and subtracts one $2.00 withdrawal. If you batch several sales into one withdrawal, the $2.00 spreads across them, so your real per-card cost runs lower than shown here. Both numbers are editable under "Adjust fee rates."

Rates default to widely cited Trading Cards values and may not reflect every promotion, exemption, or recent change. Verify against your latest eBay invoice or the official fee schedule for your account.
